Cone Beam Scanner in Newtown, PA

What are Cone Beam Scanners?

Dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography, or CBCT, builds a 3D image of your teeth, mouth, and jaw.  This allows Dr. Lantzy to extract information about your nerve pathways, bone health, and soft tissues in addition to the structure of the tooth.

How are Cone Beam Scanners Used?

Dr. Lantzy recently spoke to SuburbanLife Magazine about the importance of Cone Beam Scanners in treating dysfunctional breathing and the underdevelopment of the midface and jaws.:

“Proper jaw development and proper breathing go hand in hand. One affects the other. Through our advanced training and through our comprehensive dental exam, especially using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), we see the oral manifestations of dysfunction. The mouth is our wheelhouse. In dentistry, we relate grinding, crowded teeth, gum disease, mouth breathing, scalloped tongue – these are all signs of underdeveloped jaws and signs of breathing disorder.”
