In our September spotlight, Donna Rae Lee and the rock and roll sounds of Blue Flame Six was the first look into the musical talents of so many of our patients. Our October spotlight shines on another vocalist, Addison Grozalis who dreams of one day seeing her name in lights. Here is Addison’s story.

Addison began singing at an early age. She has fond memories of singing with her mom and has videos of her singing as early as two years old. While her mom was taking guitar lessons at the School of Rock—a music school with programs “designed to get students on stage performing,” five-year-old Addison tagged along. One year later, Addison herself was taking voice lessons at the School of Rock. Over the years she has performed in their spring and fall shows. Some of her favorite performances include shows at the World Café Live in Philadelphia.

Addison, now a senior in High School will see her time end at the School of Rock and hopes to ignite a career as a solo vocal artist. She anticipates starting out as part of a duo and has partnered with her friend Emmy, a guitarist, after meeting at a gig a few years ago. They recently performed together at DeLorenzo’s in Yardley, PA and they rehearse together regularly for future gigs.

She is inspired by vocalists like Carrie Underwood and Ariana Grande. Addison takes weekly singing lessons, practices her vocals and songs, and makes lists of songs that she can sing at upcoming events. She is currently rehearsing for an R & B show that will take place at the Broken Goblet—a brewery/music venue in Bensalem, happening early next year. Dreams for her future include performances at Madison Square Garden, headlining at Coachella, and hosting SNL as a musical guest. Team Lantzy is so inspired by Addison’s story, her determination, and her dreams for her future. We look forward to the day that we can see her name in big lights. Watch out world. Here she comes!
