Marg here….Circling back to the April Clean Up Initiative.
From projects that began when I didn’t expect them… like closet racks coming off the wall with a great Boom! And clearing belongings for my parents who passed on…to continuing spring cleaning projects in general, I’ve had the opportunity to seek out and donate to a number of great local causes. There are always people in need that can benefit from gently used and clean items that no longer serve a purpose for you.
These are some local charities that need donations to provide their services to others and I can recommend. Community Aid Refurbished Equipment Store (CARES) by The Community League of St. Mary Medical Center is a community benefit that lends area residents refurbished medical equipment such as manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. Gently used medical equipment donated to CARES is sanitized, refurbished, and lent to those in need. The Second Look Thrift Shop in Newtown is a social enterprise supporting the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Liberty Ministries Thrift Shop in Feasterville brings Grace, Hope, and Transformation to those broken by incarceration.
Find a way to give your reusable items a second life.
